The crocodile is a land animal but lives most of its life in water. It has rough scales to protect it form predators and they camouflage with the dirty but warm water that they live in. The crocodile's habitat will change in many ways do to global warming the water level will being to rise separating some crocodiles from the others.
Before the flash flooding the crocodile will look something like this.
While the water level rises the crocodile's begin to adapt to the fully aquatic environment. It begins to grow flippers and gills. Due to it's recent adaptions it begins to eat fish and animals skimming across the surface of the water.
And ends up looking a little like this.
