Leopards
Leopards are very sophisticated creatures of nature. They are over 67 million years old and existed during the Cretaceous period. They live in sub-Saharan, Africa, northeast Africa, Central Asia, India, and China. They are a big and powerful cat and closely related to the tiger, lions, and jaguars.
How We Think They Will Change
Scientists: Collin H, Chyler W, Donovan L, and Trevor A predict in the next 20,000 years, leopards will have stronger legs and more fur. Leopards live South-closer to the South Pole- so they get snow. Snow leopards live more South, so they get more snow then others. They get used to walking in snow more often than other leopards, so they have to tread through the deep snow. By treading through the deep snow, the leopards' legs will grow more muscular from the 20,000 years working hard by treading through the snow. The fur will grow thicker and larger because of the harsh weather, which is also below freezing.
