Red Pandas now
Red pandas' fur is the color of rust with white patches in various places. They have white noses with white streaks on their face and their tails are the rust color with brown stripes. They have black stomachs and white paws. Their brown and white colors are used to camouflage from predators. The have small ears, but good for hearing. Their front legs are shorter than their back legs, so they waddle.Their nails are a good length and are used to climb trees. Their nails also help them climb up the Nepal and Myanmar mountains in China. They spend most of their time in trees but occasionally climb up the mountains. Red pandas enjoy spending their time alone eating bamboo, acorns, eggs, insects, and sometimes small mammals. They are alike to big pandas because they eat some of the same foods.
Red panda's habitat There is going to be a big avalanche in the mountains separating the red panda's from one another. One species will be on the Eastern Himalayas and the other will be on the Western Himalayas. The red panda's that were making their way over to the western were evolving and the western was better for them. Red pandas are known for their long striped tail. It usually ranges between 11 and 19 inches. In 200,000 years that tail wont be there anymore. The bone in the tail will be pushed up making the tail shortened only a few centimeters every 100 years. the bone will split once it reaches the shoulder bones making the shoulder and arms stronger. There would only be a little puff where the tail would be. The reason this happens is because the bone will shift after they climb all these trees. There is a certain point were nails/claws stop growing. Red Panda's have fairly long nails currently, but we predict that they will be longer in the future. Their body will adapt to the rocky mountains and will grow out the nails to grip onto the rocks/trees. Red panda's have fairly long nails currently, but we predict they will grow longer. They will adapt to climbing on the hard, rocky mountains making it easier to climb and grab onto the rocks. Since the air in the western Himalayas is low the red pandas have to have strong lungs to maintain healthy and break normally. The Himalayas is also very, very cold so they need to have more fur and skin. Their bodies will adapt to the cold temperature and more skin and fur will grow to stay warm.
